Chocolate and peanut butter. “Two great tastes, that taste great together!” Eat many Reese’s Cups, Jennifer?
Guilty as charged, however, Reese’s aren’t a big thing here in The Netherlands. I indulge in them very rarely, because they aren’t available, and more important, because I have learned how to make my own, healthier version. Sorry, Reese, yours are a processed food, full of cr@ppy ingredients, saturated fats, processed sugar, and E numbers.
Thank you NUTORIOUS Peanut Butter and Hagelswag for adding some pizazz to my morning bowl of steel cut oats! The chili sambal peanut butter adds a warming and subtle layer of heat, complemented by the intensity of antioxidant rich dark chocolate hagelslag. There’s more than meets the eye in this unassuming bowl of oatmeal. I’ve been adding the following mushroom powders to my morning bowl: cordyceps for energy, lion’s mane to help the nervous system, and chaga to lower inflammation. I’ve got maca and cacao powders as antioxidants, and collagen for cell growth. Chia, hemp, and flax seeds are high in Omega 3s which are ideal for heart health. Blueberries chime in with fibre, Vitamins A, C, and E, and are loaded with goodness for our brain. Almond milk ups our calcium levels, and a tablespoon of coconut oil brings in a dose of healthy fat. While this reads as a long list of ingredients, if you have them on hand, they really don’t take any time or complicated prep to add to the mixture. This bowl is packed with goodness and keeps me going all morning long!
