Did someone say “healthy Snickers® bar”? I came upon the recipe for these a couple of weeks, ago via the Wholefood Simply site. Quick and Easy Snickers Bars are chewy, peanutty, chocolatey, and addictively delicious! They come together in a snap! and have the added bonus of protein, not only from the nuts, but from a solid dash of protein powder. The recipe recommends Vanilla Protein Powder, of which I had none, so I used pea protein powder and they turned out really well.
Sometimes, I get tired of using dates as the base for my energy bites. If you are looking for a new sweet source of protein, these will tick the boxes and satisfy your craving. I taste-tested these morning, noon, and night, (somebody had to!) and can say with full confidence, they are satisfying from dawn ’til dusk 🙂
