What we offer:
At The Well Travelled Kitchen, my goal is to help you eat the best foods for your nutritional needs. We’ll start by having a chat about your health history and move toward your lifestyle routines and how you can make healthy habits in the kitchen, part of your day.

As we begin, I’d like to know why you reached out for guidance in the kitchen – are you interested in learning more about nutrition to address a health concern? We’ll have a 15 minute chat so we can see if what I can offer, is a match for your needs. Would you like new recipes to bring freshly prepared meals to your dinner table? If you’re already comfortable with cooking, maybe you’re wanting some tips and tricks on meal planning, navigating the grocery store aisles, and meal prepping?  Are you looking to organize your kitchen so you’ve got the best tools and ingredients to cook your way to optimal health? Can I assist with some introductory cooking lessons? Perhaps, you want a little bit of everything!?

My goal is to show you that healthy eating is accessible, and that spending time in the kitchen pays off in noticeable rewards where your lifestyle and nutrition needs are concerned. There are a couple of packages you can experience to make an investment in your health.

Package One: The Meal Plan


During your first, free, one-to-one 15 minute phone conversation, we’ll touch upon your current lifestyle in terms of health history, daily habits, routines with work and leisure, your approach to meals: do you like to cook? Eat out? Or, buy ready-made meals? Perhaps you have a specific nutrition goal in mind, and we’ll discuss this, too. I’ll ask you to fill in a seven-day food diary where you’ll keep track of your “Foods and Moods” over the course of a week, noting what you ate and when, and how you felt after eating. I’ll also ask that you complete an intake form so I can learn a bit about your health history, and nutrition goals.

After one week, you’ll submit your Intake Form, and, Foods and Moods diary. After reviewing these, we’ll talk again about how best to approach lifestyle and nutrition changes and I’ll get you started with a meal plan, accompanying recipes, shopping list, and prep schedule. Once you’ve completed your 7-Day Meal Plan, we’ll set up a follow-up meeting to see how I can best support you with your nutrition goals.

Package Two: Fieldtrip to the Grocery Store, and a Meal Plan

Eat out? Or, buy ready-made meals? Perhaps you have a specific nutrition goal in mind, and we’ll discuss this, too. If you choose to move forward, I’ll ask you to fill in a seven-day food diary where you’ll keep track of your “Foods and Moods” over the course of a week. Here, you’ll note what you ate and when, and how you felt after eating. I’ll also ask that you complete an intake form so I can learn about your health history, and nutrition goals.

After one week, you’ll submit your Intake form, along with your Foods and Moods diary. After reviewing these, we’ll talk again about how best to approach lifestyle and nutrition changes and I’ll get you started with a meal plan, accompanying recipes, shopping list, and prep schedule. I’ll meet you at your favourite grocery store and we’ll walk through, aisle by aisle, and I can help decipher ingredients written in Dutch, and show you which products are best, and those to avoid.  Once you’ve completed your 7-Day Meal Plan, we’ll set up a follow-up meeting to see how I can best support you with your nutrition goals.

Package Three: Prepping Your Pantry, and a Fieldtrip to the Grocery Store

This package is for those of you wanting to get some tips on organizing your pantry and seeing how to store foods so they are easily accessible when it’s time to get cooking. If you’re new to The Netherlands (and even if you’re not…) I can help by suggesting best ways to organize and store your food, and what to stock in your fridge and pantry so you have the essentials when it comes to meal creation. As well, we’ll head out to see what’s on offer in your favourite, local Dutch grocery store so you are prepared when it comes to making delicious and nutritious meals.

  • Visit to your kitchen to assess storage, and suggest what to stock for nutrition success
  • Visit to your favourite grocery store to decipher labels, and navigate the aisles

Package Four: Introductory Cooking Lessons


This package is for those of you who would like to learn a few tips and tricks to make your time a little easier in the kitchen. I am not a trained chef, but I’ve had 40 years of experience in my own kitchen, was a Private Home Cook for a family of three, am a recipe developer and cook for a small café in Amsterdam, and have helped in various capacities catering, and cooking in a commercial kitchen. If I can make your time easier, I would be happy to share my passion for all things culinary. We would have an initial consultation to discuss what you already know, and what you’d like to discover. From there, we can set up a plan and I’ll visit you, in your home, where we can use your space, tools, and appliances.

  • Kitchen assessment: we’ll take a look through your pantry and fridge to see if it needs to be freshened up; I’ll also assess your tools, and we can chat about uses of various appliances – ones you have, and some that might make your life a bit easier
  • We’ll cook a three-course menu together, based on your lifestyle and nutrition needs
  • Recipes, shopping list, and prep schedule to be provided

Investment in your health:  € 195 incl. BTW, plus the cost of food

Bonus Option

If you feel like you need more time and support, please book additional blocks of time, where I’ll be happy to accommodate. € 30 for 30 minutes, incl. BTW
